The Club started having runs early in the it’s history to raise money for the "Ride For Kids". Chosen officers would go to various shops and get donations for raffle prizes, Brent and Becky mapped out the ride and they would ask about 15 to 20 questions regarding things that riders should, would notice along the route. Sometimes the riders would actually have to get off their bike to find the answer to a question. I was told that some of the questions were hard and some were easy to find, but that the event was always fun. This was an annual event for our club for about 4 years. Our first organized Poker Run was held in 2001. There was about 25 members that showed up for the event and from that point on the club continued to grow in numbers.
Our club patch idea came from a stretch of Highway on 101 near Garborville on the way to the Redwood Run. Pretty fitting for a club named Redwood Riders.
