RECAP RIDE TO GRANZELLA’S

For those who did not make this ride, you missed out.  We had a beautiful weather and beautiful scenery.   When we were deciding where to go some of us had checked out the weather in other areas and noted that the weather was going to be warmer going toward Winters and Williams.  So we decided on Granzella’s in William for our destination, and the weatherman did not lie.

We headed out toward Calistoga and Silverado Trail, and over thru Lake Berryessa toward Winters.  This route is always very scenic and who could resist the twisties going around Lake Berryessa.  We had our first and only rest stop, and only rest stop before reaching our destination, in Winters at the Chevron.  Those that needed gassed up and we were ready to go again.  From Winters we jumped on to 505, which ran into I5, and landed us in Williams at Granzella’s for our lunch feast.  By the time we got to Granzella’s the weather had warmed up to a comfortable 80 degrees.

With our bellies full we decides to head home via Lake County.  We left Williams and jumped back on I5, went down 1 exit and got on to Hwy 20 going toward Lake County.  It was nice to have warm weather, shed some layers, and start working on our biker tans.  We rode straight thru to Middletown where we had a rest and gas stop.  It was such a nice day we didn’t stop long.  Everyone was eager to keep riding.  So we continued on into Calistoga and back to Santa Rosa.
